The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
This premiered in Canada last week, I'm not sure if the states has it yet
It's still a little early to make a judgment call but I'm digging it so far. Nice animation, characterization, and voice acting (Beast being a stand out on all three)
Also Boom Boom was in it for a second!
It sucks that they made Rogue like her whiny movie counterpart though
Yeah, the 90s X-men cartoon moves at like 4 frames a second, and has awkward costumes, and follows the comics WAAAAAAAY too closely at a time when they weren't written well... at all.

I have never once, in all my years of internetdom, heard someone say something bad about the 90's X-Men cartoon. Now there's like three of you in one thread. It's like this place is a breeding ground for horrible opinions.

as someone who doesn't read comics, i can tell you that the dead and subsequent return of Morph was one of the most heart-wrenching, influential experiences of my youth.

Burden of Proof you are making some pretty rad points in this thread
(That and the Jean Grey saga with Phoenix were big parts of my childhood)
the animation hasn't held up very well but the writing was pretty good
I may have to concede the writing, because as I mentioned, they followed the comics to the letter- straight down to ridiculous shit like fighting D'Ken for his world gem during the Pheonix saga, so yes, the writing was probably really good a lot of the time.
But the animation, the costumes, stuff like Wolverine killing sentinels by hopping on their back... ugh.

The Sentinels were my favorite.

The animation doesn't really bug watching it these days. I mean, it's not super smooth, but I don't really give a fuck as long as it clearly conveys the situations it's depicting and manages to be engaging. I mean, The Real Ghostbusters was poorly animated by todays standards, but it's still entertaining as all fuck.

just throwing that out there
