If you have just or are currently experiencing one or more of the following, don't post about it here. Go directly to the ER. You can give us the story AFTER your life's not in danger.
*Venomous (poisonous) snake bites
*necrotic wounds
*compound fractures or fractures involving a limb
*stabbings
*shootings
* frostbite
*any wound that bleeds for more than 60 minutes
* any sort of wound that either squirts or makes a "sucking" noise
* any sort of wound where there may be a foreign object still inside the wound
* any vomiting or diarrhea that doesn't go away after 24 hours
* fluid in the lungs
* severe allergic reactions
* ingested toxins of a sufficient quanity that you'll need to have your stomach pumped
(ALSO CONTACT YOUR LOCAL POISON CONTROL CENTER!)
* sudden loss of vision, hearing, balance or equilibrium
* any wound where an object pierced deep into your body (like stepping on a nail, etc.)
