Gunnar Optics makes "high performance digital eyewear" for people who spend copious amounts of time in front of a computer screen to help combat computer eye strain and prevent Computer Vision Syndrome.

I am a graphic designer/videographer by day and gamer by night so I spend roughly 90% of my waking hours in front of a glowing screen. Being an avid PA reader I noticed after looking into these glasses that they had a booth at PAX this year.

Did anyone check out their booth? Do you own a pair? Do they work?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I somehow saw an ad for these too. And I'm a software developer by day and a gamer by night. I too proudly sit in front of a glowing screen a lot of the time. So I'd love to hear about anything on this too. I've got vision coverage so I figured I might look into getting a pair of these as my next glasses. I kind of would like to see and touch the glasses before buy them though. I usually like a really light pair of glasses because mine tend to slide down my nose quite easily.

Although, I wondered if the research was more gimicky than factual. I didn't sit through all of the stuff they had put up about the terrible symptoms I might have.

    Interesting in theory ...

I'd be curious to hear from someone who has them.

The other solution to this, of course, is to turn down your monitor's brightness :P

Those have a yellow tint it looks like. How could tinting your vision help you work on a computer? I mean, I guess it would be fine if color wasn't important to you.

I think that's only one style of their glasses. I was flipping through them and I remember a large number of them did not have colored lenses.
