So I just installed Beyond Good and Evil on my PC and patched it (1.01 or 1.1 I believe) but when I run it the sound and graphics are unsynched, presumably due to minor graphical lag. I haven't gotten past the first intro sequence cause this irritates me so much.
My specs:
2.4 ghz CPU dualcore (intel centrino, this is a laptop)
256 mb nvidia 8600GT
4 gigs of RAM
(and Vista)
Dunno if it's vista being a dick but it'd be great if anyone knows how to solve my problem.

I've had the exact same issues in the past with the PC version of Beyond Good & Evil. The good news is, they are easily remedied by unticking one of the advanced settings in the launcher.
The bad news, is I can't remember which it is exactly. I would know it if I heard it if you care to list them, or perhaps someone else can provide which it is.

I've tried installing BG&E on my 64-bit Vista machine a couple times and the install wizard always closes down right before it finishes, never completing installation.
Game doesn't lag anywhere close to as much now but it's still a bit dodgy... gonna try and disable more features so I can get it running nice and smoothly.

If you haven't already disable antialiasing, the game has never tolerated it particularly well.

Triple Buffering
SSE
HW Vertex Processing
Multi Vertex stream
Mipmapping
Fastflip
Autogen mipmap
Hope that helps..
If I remember correctly it's "HW Vertex Processing" that needs to be disabled. Try that and see if your problems improve.
