How will most email client apps handle long horizontal layouts

I’m working on an invitation that will be sent out as an HTML file stuck in an email. I would like to do a very long/wide format (2000+ pixels_, but I’m not sure how client software will handle it. What happens when Outlook, Notes, etc. get a really long email? (I’m on a Mac and haven’t actually used a non-web client in years)

Can I ask why you would want to do this?

Almost all e-mail clients I know of will h-scroll, but why do you want people to h-scroll on your invitation?
