So about a month ago I went to the JC Penny Home Store and bought a nice leather recliner for about $600.00. I gave them my debit card at the store and it was delivered about a week later. So for about two days, there was a pending charge on my account for the chair, but has since gone away and I have yet to be charged for the chair.
Any of you know if companies have a time frame on how long they are able to charge me? I have the money sitting in my account in the event they realize they goofed. I know checks go bad after a certain time, but I wasn't sure about debit card purchases.
