The price seems awesome, and the reviews look great, but I have never slept on a memory foam so I don't know whats up. Also I get this impression that sex would be really weird on it.
What mattress do you roll with and how do you feel about it.
Anyone have a memory foam that can comment if it makes sex weird?
I have a memory foam mattress. Dormia somethingorother. It's fantastic to sleep on, and I didn't notice any problems with sexings either. It is a little different, but not in a bad way. I've only had the mattress for a month though so my experiences are limited.
I have a memory foam mattress very similar to that one. It is fantastic. It is on the firm side, but not hard. It tends to sleep hot, which is great for me because I usually am freezing at night. I'm not sure why you would think sex would be weird on it, I haven't noticed any change from a convention spring coil. I'd say go for it if you are ok with a firm, warmer mattress.

Felt dark planet turn under my feet and knew what cats know that makes them scream like babies in night.
I've heard that those can get really hot at night and that it's tough to roll over on the memory foam.
The bf and I got a beauty-rest or something like that which has individual springs which is awesome! If you're planning on sleeping on it with anyone else on you, it's really nice to not get disturbed at all when the other person moves around, it makes for greater stability.

I have a memory foam mattress on the recommendation of Doc and I absolutely love it.
They do get warmer, but not necessarily hot. As long as you have a nice mattress pad for it you should be fine. Sex is slightly different because the bed does not have that bounce-back that a coil mattress has. However sex is also SILENT. You can fuck as hard as you want and not make a sound outside of some meatslapping. Rolling over is no different from a coil mattress.
However before you make a purchase be aware of what you are buying. I've seen pseudo-scammers selling coil mattresses with memory foam toppers as memory foam mattresses. Also look for how many layers the mattress is made up of. In the case of mine it is 6" of 5.5 lb memory foam and 4" of 3.5 lb memory foam. The weight of the foam tells you how firm it is. 5.5 is sort of the standard and it is pretty firm. The top layer of 3.5 gives you something softer to lay on. Also be aware of the bottom layer as that is important. Some mattresses it is just a basic layer of foam. Not memory foam just foam. It is what the memory foam sits on. Some mattresses instead use a latex core. This is nice because it is hypoallergenic and things like dust mites and bed bugs can't live there.
tl;dr - Do plenty of research before you make your purchase.
The wife and I have a pillow-top over memory foam mattress and we love it. It alleviates the heat and initial hardness that some memory foam mattresses have while still allowing for the support benefits that they provide. We tried a bunch in the store and we liked it way better then either straight memory foam or a coil mattress (that didn't cost $5,000, that is).

Having sold foam during my life I feel obligated to tell you that the weight of the foam is not necessarily related to the firmness. Firmness is measured by something called ILD which is the pounds of pressure it takes to compress 4" to 3". Density (or weight) isn't necessarily related to this (and often isn't). What the density does tell you is the feeling of fullness of the foam and gives you an estimate of the quality (more is better). For example I used to sell a foam with a density of 1.9 lb/ft^3 and another that was 3.3 they were both the same firmness.
You are going to be spending 1/3 of your time on this thing, every day, for as long as you have it. Don't cut corners.
Try it at the store, and don't worry about spending over budget for anything if it is comfortable to you. This is an investment you want to love, 100%.
With that said, I slept on a memory foam mattress for two years. I was always tired when I woke up, and could stay asleep on it forever. I didn't like that feeling - always waking up tired, no matter how long I'd slept for.
Now, flat, hard beds - I sleep great on those. The floor, too. I always wake up after 8-9 hours, and am ready to go.

Well the numbers I mentioned were ILD numbers. 5.5 lbs is my middle layer and 3.5 is my top layer. 5.5 is sort of the standard or at least it was when I bought mine.
edit: although it isn't literally 5.5 its rounded up to 5.5 in the marketing
i thought i'd love it, but i decided to check it out in person at a mattress store 1st... and realized it's complete shit for me... from then on pillowtop spring mattress is where it's at

You should probably just go to a mattress store to check it out before you buy one.
