I've had my current email address for 11 or 12 years now, so I get a lot of spam. A few weeks ago, though, I went from getting 100-300 a day to getting almost none, for maybe four or five days. Then it spiked back up again.

Thing is, now almost all of it is from 'noreply@whatever' adresses. Right now, I've got 20 messages on the server, 18 of them spam, all of those from noreplies.

Anyone else seeing this kind of shit?

    i was getting some pretty bizarre spam about paris hilton for a while there. shit with titles like "paris hilton kidnapped by gypsies" or abducted by aliens, or pregnant with pope benedict's baby

    I have gmail and get maybe one piece of spam a month. Probably less. And it's almost always dropped into the "Spam" folder without ever hitting the inbox.

    They probably stopped sending spam to Defender after he kept replying to each spam email individually with an essay on why he wasn't interested in what it was advertising

    I only get people who want to loan me a house with poor english skills.

    I did get some junk snail mail the other day that was addressed to Mr and Mrs when I dont even have a girlfriend. I also get shit from the school system about enrolling my non exsistant kid every year.

    i get a lot of spam on my gmail... but ALL of it goes into the spam folder. the gmail spam filter appears to work about 100 times better than the yahoo one.

    my gmail spam box has a constant 1200+ spam messages in it
    which is a running 30-day total

    luckily none of it ever hits my main box

    It's very sparse but when I get something, it's always the most intense wordy weird shit

    I've been getting a lot more spam through Gmail lately. Of course, it all goes straight to the spam folder, so it's not a big deal

    It's lots of "classic" spam - they type of stuff I haven't seen in a really long time, like scam pharmacies, diploma mills, and fake foreign lotteries.

    How the fuck are you getting 200 spam messages a day? I've received 5 unsolicited emails in the last year and a half of using this gmail account.

    Every other email has been from someone I know.

    Yeah I really wonder what you have to do to get loads of spam in your gmail, because I seriously get almost none. Like how many times a week do you attempt to buy brides from Russia?

    Actually, looking at my spam folder on the web I can see that all 5 of the spam I have received has been from one site i chose to mark as spam manually that i bought some software from ages ago.

    So in effect I have received zero spam emails ever. How are you getting 1200? Do you have some really generic email address or a common name? I dont understand.

    I get shittons of spam in my spam inbox for gmail. I think a lot of is autogenerated though. I also like it when they make it look like it's from yourself.
