I preferred Jewel Staite when she had a bit more weight to her

    She's too skinny now

Edit: She's still incredibly hot, but I'm just saying

She's cute, but Kaylee fawning is wierd. It's like watching someone express the desire to fuck a puppy.

I don't get the hate for the intro. I thought it worked great with the theme of the show being essentially a space western.

    It's not the Western bit.

It's the sounds like it was written by a rhythmless hack bit.

I like the instrumentals. I'm really glad they let a musician take liberties with the instrumentals.

The vocal part just doesn't quite fit the pattern it's trying to. It's bothersome.

to me it just seems like you're expecting the vocals in the intro to sound extremely professional and that's exactly why I think the vocals work well for the show
because it sounds like it's just some normal dude sitting at a campfire singing and I think that nails the character of the show
it would sound out of place if it was some really good vocalist that sang it "perfectly"

What grabbed me was they were cowboys in space and then there was a girl in a box for some reason and then the Mark Hammil look-alike got threaten by the big guy.

That was the only episode I saw on TV. I was disappointed to learn that it was the last one, but happy to learn that it was the first one when I started watching it on DVD.

Don't forget the part where the one dude got shot in the head out of nowhere.

    That was awesome.

Ah shit while I was GIS'ing Morena Baccarin I got one result which turned out to have been posted on Stormfront, the white supremacist/neo-Nazi/skinhead dipshit forum

and any time I stumble in there I can't help but read a few posts and be like this is what is wrong with the human race

jewel staite is the prettiest in firefly

she put on a few pounds for the role which bumped her right into "not malnourished" category and she just looks so cute all the time

I thought it was a decent little series, and could have done with a bit more.

Farscape, now, I could do with ten years of that.

I always appreciated Firefly/Serenity because it didn't go all mystical with the Force, there weren't quad-lithium holo-deck transporters that made your Earl Grey tea, and there was a prolific use of the word ain't; I just enjoyed the concept that no matter how advanced technology became, there was always some shit-kicker who would toss around a slang phrase or seven.

    Mighty powerful stuff, I reckon.

so whats the big deal about the movie serenity
i have not seen it or the show

serenity is the last thing right
does it wrap things up nicely
does it bring things to a close
