[Woot off...on] My poor wallet

So you guys should probably know what this is by now, but if you don't, I've gone to the trouble of copying and pasting for you:
Woot wrote:
I see some orange flashing lights on the main page – what do they mean?
No, you aren't seeing a side effect from your allergy medication. You have found a Woot-Off, a short term frenzied mutation of our product posting procedure. In Woot-Off mode, a new product is launched immediately after the sellout of the previous deal. There is a half-Woot-life of 12 hours maximum on any product within a Woot-Off that does not sell out. The number of Woot-Off items, sequence, and quantity will not be announced. When Woot-Off mode is over, the orange lights will disappear and our normal schedule will resume. Depending on its success, this may be a mode we would go into once or twice a month for a relatively short duration of time (24-72 hours generally.)

And here's a link!

oh no not a woot off

Woot just made me spend $100 on that 500g seagate hdd (it was $50), plus an external enclosure and another external enclosure for a drive I had sitting around (another $45 including shipping). Plus it's a great game week and I'm missing hours.

    Damn you, woot!

The roadside kit is pretty cool for 13 bucks, but not really worth it unless you don't have jumpers already for some unknown reason.

Yep. I don't screw around with my magnetic media. Why buy something sub-par when for 20-30$ you get a 3 to 5 year warranty ?

This product blurb deserves to be recorded for posterity:
    Data Rollin’ Stone

A Kingston 8GB Data Traveler took a wrong turn somewhere and got lost out in the country. Finally, after several exhausting hours of trying to find its way back to the main road, it stopped at a farmhouse. A grizzled old farmer answered.

“Excuse me, sir,” said the Kingston 8GB Data Traveler. “I’m lost and very tired. Might you have a place where I can sleep for the night? I’m very compact, so I won’t take up much room.”

“Sure, stranger,” the farmer answered. “as long as you don’t mind sleeping in my 19-year-old daughter’s room.”

The Kingston 8GB Data Traveler happily agreed.

The next morning at breakfast, the farmer said, “Hope you got a good night’s sleep last night. Good thing my daughter’s away at college, or you wouldn’t have been able to sleep in her room.”

The Kingston 8GB Data Traveler replied, “It wouldn’t have mattered. As an inanimate object, I’m not capable of feeling carnal desires anyway.”

The farmer answered, “Yeah, I guess that’s true. Say, are you USB 2.0 compatible?”

“Sure am,” the Kingston 8GB Data Traveler answered. “Thanks for the bed, and for breakfast.”

    “OK, then,” the farmer said.

Two hours later, the punchline showed up, gasping out an excuse about a late train. But by then the Kingston 8GB Data Traveler had moved on.
