DVD+RW drive shows up as DVD-RAM

So I have a DVD+RW (TSST Lite On DVDRW) that shows up properly in Device Manager but in My Computer it shows up as DVD-RAM. When I go to burn CDs in either Roxio or Windows Media Player, it says it cannot detect a burner (even though this is a burner). Any thoughts on what I can do to get it to detect/display properly

    I take it the suggestions are free? Are they simple? I have a client who experiences hit-or-miss burns with WMP - a good replacement would be welcome if it's simple enough.
