Very weird album art problem in WMP 11

So I just got a new computer and installed WMP 11, which has been my media player of choice for a while now. Naturally, some of my album art got screwed up in the transfer from external hard drive to new computer, so I've been adding the missing pieces.

Problem is, whenever I copy-paste album artwork into WMP, it comes out with a weird graphical glitch:

See it? Look at the album artwork for Love and Theft, a thin column from the left side of the image appears on the right side. This is not a problem with the image itself, here is the original I copy-pasted from:

This happens with every single album artwork I copy paste into WMP, ever since the new install. What exactly is going on? This is such a weird problem that I didn't even know how to google it. I've tried reinstalling WMP but it didn't help.
