New DS w/camera & DL games, Wii storage fix, Sin & Punishment 2, more! Check OP
Okay, so people are shitting their pants over Sin & Punishment. I've never even heard of this. What is it, why should I care a part 2 is coming out, and is it actually good?
Since all the media stuff is built in I hope to fuck they have a sleep mode suspend option for the mp3 player. I already have the DS in my gym bag for playing Harvest Moon:FoMT and Tetris DS while on the bike and getting rid of the mp3 player would be aces considering mine is HD based.

Think of it as a different kind of Contra on a different kind of crack. Sounds good, right? Of course it does! BUY IT RIGHT NOW, DAMNIT!

ahahah.
Since you gave us foreigners that I'll throw you a bone.
Sin and Punishment was a late gen N64 game developed by Treasure (makers of awesome obscure fighting games, shooters like Ikaruga, and Motherfucking Mischief Makers) and published by Nintendo. It's starfox with swords and is totally awesome. Was the first import game released on the Wii's Virtual Console, and is fuck amazing even today.

Ain't got a Wii yet. A different kind of Contra? So like, die in one hit, incredibly hard, that sort of deal? What makes it stand apart from Contra?

Being developed by Treasure is pretty much a defining characteristic all its own.
They made Mischief Makers, Guardian Heroes, Gunstar Heroes, Ikaruga, etc. They basically do no wrong.

Tatsunoko VS Capcom = haha awesome
Punch-Out!! = Never played the original but this one looks nice
Sin and Punishment = more goddammit, that was too little footage :x
Sonic and the Dark Knight = oh god.

Not one-hit kill. It's on-rails. I guess Starfox 64 would be the better analog. But you're on foot, like Contra. And you're always shooting everything, like Contra.
Blimey! I was expecting news when I woke up but not this much!
I guess now we know why Nintendo's E3 showing was mediocre. They really don't give a shit about E3 anymore.
Honestly I don't really think Sony or Microsoft really tried either. MS did have the FFXIII though but everything else was a known quantity. Both of them left stuff off the table for other more important conferences.
I saw videos of that over the summer (right off this forum actually) and I really dig the animation / art style. Dunno if that particular game will make it state side, but I hope the animation and art get adopted for other games.
[Treasure] made Mischief Makers, Guardian Heroes, Gunstar Heroes, Ikaruga, etc. They are basically forgiven all the sins they commit now a days just because they've made some awesome games in the past.
There you go. :P

I can sum up the best thing about TvC in four words:
As I've mentioned many, many times in the CvT thread.
We've actually known this for weeks now since that arcade conference in Japan. The hardware it runs off of is based on the Wii and is co-developed by Nintendo.

By the way, while the video above loads, I know who Treasure is. That's enough to get my attention.

I've forgotten about that thread entirely.
Bloody hell though. I was hoping for it to make it onto a machine without region-protection.

Guess I got lucky. I seem to do better at it then I ever did on the NES.

One other question. With the DS being Region free, if I'm not mistaken, how hard would it be for us to just import one from Japan instead of waiting for a state-side release? Of course, this not taking into account Japanese demand.

The OS is different from what we know of DS/DSLite, and with the supposed DS Ware that's like Wii Ware, I would wait to find out if it's region free first. DS games themselves should still be region free though.

Ah, that's true. I forgot that with the new added features, its likely running on a completely different OS, or at least different version. With the addition of DS Ware, I'd expect this to be region-locked now. *sigh* Oh, well.

Anybody knows how big the SD card will be?
yeah, Nintendo is being surprisingly agile with the DSi. It hits all the right spots for features I want to see in a handheld.
