Need help making Fifa08 PC tournaments

I have been involved in a project where we have been creating tournaments for Fifa 08 on the PS3 and XBOX 360. We were going to extend this project to the PC, but haven't been able to find an equivalent tournament mode to the ones we used on the consoles for this platform.
What we want to do is create a tournament that players can join that will stay up over a period of a couple of weeks, in which players can participate in unscheduled games. We have yet to figure out a way to do this, any tournaments we attempt to create disappear shortly after being created.
Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!
