So, I've recently been having problems getting on Xbox Live. First, I'll go over my basic network.
I've got
this Linsys router hooked up to the internet and two computers in the office. In the living room, I have
this wireless bridge hooked up to the Xbox. And this all worked fine and dandy until a few days ago.
Over the weekend, the power went out for a few seconds and came back on. Since about then, I've been having problems connecting to Xbox Live. When I run the network test, it fails on the MTU part, and tell me to set it to 1365 or higher. I checked my router, and it was set to "Auto", so I set it up to 1500, and that didn't help. I power cycled every last network device and double checked all the settings. Nothing. There isn't a problem with the wireless bridge, since I can hook my laptop into it and it works fine.
Also, after the power outage, my Xbox began insisting that it was November of 2005. I have no idea why, since loosing power shouldn't have reset anything like that. Does anyone have any ideas.
tl;dr Xbox Live fails on MTU check, but router MTU is well above minimum.

ARRRRGGGHHHHHH.
I got all those messages, and joked about them with my girlfriend. I guess this is some sort of karmic revenge from Microsoft.
Yeah, somebody lock this one, and give me like a 24 hour jailing for stupidity or something.
