Overlord corruption?

The only Overlord specific thread I found was for the sequel so I apologize if one does exist somewhere. Anyway, I'm trying to finish some of my old games so I can trade them in towards Gears 2. Overlord's turn finally came back around and I've got a question about the corruption system. I "accidentally" gave myself 5% corruption when I ransacked Spree and killed a civilian. Is it impossible to get the Zero Corruption achievement now or will some future good deeds erase my past sins?

    IIRC, active good deeds can lower your corruption back down.

    Thanks. I'll save a few towns and see if that does the trick. If not, I'll start over.

    From what I remember, good deeds do NOT reduce your corruption, however there is a small amount of leeway with which to get the zero corruption achievement. I'm not sure if 5% is too much though.
