I know all that, and you're right.

I'm just saying it contributes. I know it's not technically fair to hate on the game for problems it can't honestly nip in the bud before they become problems. It's not rational, but we're not always rational are we?

I'm probably not more than I am.

I know WoW was worse. I was right there.
Just going through the whole process from the beginning again isn't very pleasant is all.

With all the developer diaries saying how cool shit will be, and not having it be much like they said is a pretty big let down.

The crafting system is exactly how the said it wouldn't be.

The fact that it's "Been out" a month means absolutely fucking nothing.

I can't believe you are judging what's reasonable by how long it's been released.
The game has been in development for 6 years. It's been in testing for awhile too. Some of these issues have already been around quite a long time. A lot of them are little things, probably easy to fix. Some of them are new, and larger, and those will take longer. I know it's a process, but it could always be better.

Just because they decided to charge me money to play it doesn't mean I need to shut the fuck up and let them do their thing, meanwhile I'm stuck playing a broke ass game.
I'm paying them to test their game.

To an extent, it's the nature of MMO's as they always change. But I shouldn't be paying them to find and experience bugs and broken content for months just because the game "just came out".

I'm not going to do that. I will vocalize my issues and continue to discuss them.
I hope they can fix them in a timely manner. I hope 1.1 is great. I'm sure it will be.

If a great deal of change in a positive direction happens, then I'll definitely give them a wider berth.

I didn't play DAoC. This isn't DAoC. They are starting at zero with me.

Good of him to say that.

It's a frustrating time for everyone. They have put their 60 dollars down and expressed their interest to play Mythics game. There are A LOT of bugs and quite a number of imbalances and people are frustrated. I know I am.

My subscription is currently set to not renew.
None of the classes seem interesting to me and that's because a lot of them aren't FINISHED (perhaps except the IB and BW if anything). So many abilities simply do not work properly or are fucking horrible. Then again, some are simply TOO fucking good (Withering Heat, Rune etched Axe w/ Mastery and a lot of the other IB abilities).

If I could handle looking like a piece of shit, I'd play an IB and be happy, but that's not the case.

There's just SO many changes that need to be made and people realize that it's going to take a long time to get even a small majority of them fixed.

People are coming from WoW a game with a great deal of dev and operation time to a game that is a lot like WoW was when it was released.

It's very fucking annoying to encounter bugs that WoW had and fixed 4 years ago.

It's been out for less than a fucking month man. Even WoW was much worse than this a month after release.

That's largely irrelevant to how people feel.

This game wasn't released at the same time as WoW, so people won't compare it to WoW at release, they'll compare it to WoW as it exists now. Because that's the competition for many people.

And worse then that, they've got a month. They've got till WOTLK hits and peoples free 30 days expire to hook alot of users.

I'd like to hear some of your major gripes with the game. I dont doubt that your gripes are valid, but i personally think its absurd to call this a 'broke ass game' and claim you're paying to beta test. My experience has been one of relatively few bugs, and a fair amount of balance/tuning issues, several of which have been addressed (queueing for scenarios), are in the process of being addressed (pop imbalance, reward for open rvr) or are on the drawing board to be addressed (incentives for defending). Or are class balance issues, which will be ongoing for the life of the game.

I'm just surprised to hear such vehement claims, as quite honestly despite the things i think could be improved upon, i've been genuinely impressed with the content and general direction of the entire game. To be fair, for peoples gripes which centre around the crafting system, i have no real thoughts on that. I've never enjoyed MMO crafting, and the brief time i've spent trying WAR's crafting didnt grab me at all. It worked (based on my very limited trials!) but it seemed overly complex.

Im glad WAR doesnt have deep crafting that you absolutely MUST do, i hated crafting in WoW it was soooo boring i never did it and it gimped me in the long run, but i still hated it, i like having the option that i dont really need to do it to be successful in the game.

Crafting needs help and more options, I think that's apparent... I have never crafted in a game before WoW, and even if wow crafting was mostly terrible and useless, it had a nice arcing feel of leveling to it. And I made a rocket launcher.

I think 1.1 is gonna settle it for a lot of people, I'm glad to hear there's a "big patch" coming up, because I thought these weekly ones were the big ones... Needless to say I'm pretty excited.

Some of you need to settle the fuck down and go play PsP a little, no need to burn out on a game that will only get better.

I also actually think Lich King will be GOOD for WAR? Crazy, right? Well, many people I know burn their assess to level cap, immediatly quit, and go back to team fortress/furry porn/whatever. I think WAR will have some sick improvements by the end of that turnover, and a decent player base that won't even bother with Lich King, we played it when it was called Burning Crusade. (But god Ret talents look good now... NRrrgggrrr!)

Only really useful crafting skill was enchanting. The others offered nothing.

But yes, I'm ignoring crafting in WAR. Don't find it fun, don't need it.
