XBox 360 + Ninja Gaiden Black

So I just got Ninja Gaiden Black from Goozex and booted it up, looks okay, but I never got an option to select a difficulty level? I chose 'new game' and it just started.

I thought this version was suppose to let you select Ninja Dog?

    Ah. Well now I'm getting weird errors like it just switched to Japanese text for apparently no reason.

    The only known glitches with NGB involve a few areas where the framerate slows down, but that's to be expected for the ports.

    If you can't handle normal difficulty, the game will give you the option for Ninja Dog. You get a beautiful pink bow to wear in your hair, as well, if I remember correctly.

    Pink Bow is for playing "I Wanna Be The Guy" on medium.

    Pink Armlet is for Ninja Dog Mode.

    (I think...I never actually unlocked it, but that's what I've heard)

    Err, to clarify, you can wear any armlet you want, it's just that it'll show up as pink. Again, from what I've heard.
