Why no mention of WAR on the site/strip?

I realize that lots of games come out for a wide range of platforms on a monthly basis.

However, Tycho, who plays the table top version of Warhammer, hasn't mentioned the launch of WAR. For such a big MMO, I'm honestly shocked that they haven't made a peep about it. Especially considering as the ads for it feature so prominently on the site.

What's the deal guys?

Why don't you email them? They certainly don't check the boards. Also, maybe they didn't have anything they wanted to say about it.

EDIT: To the OP, just because someone likes something doesn't mean they have to talk about it. So what's the deal? There's no deal, just things that could be more interesting to them.

I doubt that they hate the posters here, so much as they hate forums in general. Unless I missed something.

I'd theorize that after WoW, they're very wary of playing MMOs. They're fully cognizant of what getting addicted to an MMO can do to your free time. As people whose jobs it is to apply free time to video games and come up with funny comics about them, playing an MMO even semi-seriously would prevent them from commenting on the much wider breadth of other games out there.

Either that, or they feel they've done enough commentary on the game already with their beautiful, Six Mouths name inspiring comic about WAR from ages ago.

Essentially because there are lots of people on the forum, and because in any large number of people there will be a few mouth-breathing dipshits who spoil it for everyone else. Or, in this case, people who go, 'G&T have posted in my thread! Watch me fawn and flail for a page!' and others who apprently felt getting a PA style chewing out ala the comics would be some shiny geek cred. I think Gabe just threw up his hands and declared it not worth the drama after some moron took a few real nasty shots at his wife, hoping to get a rise out of him.

Having been avid WoW players, WAR probably doesn't pop on their radar as beign their kind of thing (kinda the same thing with Spore... even though they write and draw for a living).

The message board really isn't their kind of thing either. Tycho has said it's just too fast-paced and random (which I can agree with at least concerning the chat forum). The occasional mouth-breather treating them either like Santa Claus at the mall or guys Jodi Foster wants assassinated don't help, but then again those exact same people show up at the PAX Q&A sessions, and they can't surely all come from the boards?
