Talk about the new NBA season here!
We will answer all your questions here!
Is Rose worthy of the #1 pick?
What's up with Beasley?
Greg Oden?
Will Houston implode because of Ron Artest?
How much of a dick is Elton Brand?
My Jazz didn't do anything exciting this offseason!
So check, stealing, shooting at a person blocking the goal, and break-aways are more boring than 'Oh this team just scored, so now we score and then they score durr durr durr'.
I know there's a lot more to it than that, but the games are mostly so close in basketball that you only need to watch the final period. Which you can almost say about any sport, to be honest. I'm just griping because I think Hockey should be higher on the list of sports to consider than Basketball.

please houston do something this year. I'm not huge into basketball these days but it'd be nice to have a franchise in town that got shit done (the Dynamo don't count because who gives a fuck about the MLS?)
okay, it's not that bad, but they will play a better team and get beat. unless bosh learned how to be a franchise player at the olympics and carries the team on his back.

the raptors are a solid team
they lost point guard depth in ford, but if calderon can extend his productivity last year in 30 minutes to 38-40 it won't be that big of a deal. knowing he has the reins of the team may even improve his play.
bosh is very good and adding jermaine o'neal was big. he's not what he used to be but he handles the ball well for a big man, can run the pick and roll with calderon, and gives the raptors much needed-depth inside.
they will be better then last year, but on the whole the east is better. i can't see them getting better than the 4 seed but i also don't see them dropping below 6.
ugh, hate being a wizards fan. they are just good enough to make the playoffs, but not good enough to get over the hump. though thats hard to call this year, with the east starting to get not shitty again. as much as i love arenas and his blog posts, i hate that he's out yet again and i'm scared he's pretty much done being an elite scoring guard. really wish we never picked up his option. but as long as we got badass caron butler, we got a puncher's chance.
Is anyone else doing any of this fantasy sports stuff? I decided to because I was bored at work today. Anyway here is the team I drafted:
PG Deron Williams
SG Joe Johnson
SF Shane Battier
PF Chris Bosh
C Greg Oden (he was really the best that was available at the time)
G Stephen Jackson
F Tayshaun Prince
Brandon Roy
Richard Jefferson
Mike Bibby
Bench:
Paul Millsap
Kendrick Perkins
JR Smith (kinda wish I had gone with Kleiza)
I mean he has the athleticism and defensive prowess that Boozer lacks. The only thing he doesn't have is that dreamy midrange shot. Other than that I can see him being very instrumental in case Boozer darts for Miami.

Dear Merciful Lord,
Please have Lebron lead the Cavs to a championship before he leaves for New York and please sink the entire city of Boston to the bottom of the ocean along with all its inhabitants.

They didn't win, no, but they went on a 20+ win streak last year. And the Astros made it to the World Series the year before that. And The Dynamo kick so much ass in my stadium and I love it.

Vince Carter is still there, for some reason
though it's going to be tough to top last season
if houston stays healthy they might be the best team in the league (enormous if)
boston will drop off but i think will still win the east
the sixers and trailblazers both are a bit overrated
this is the year the spurs start their decline
and elton brand is the most amount of dick that it is possible to be
unless colderone is injured severely, and then they just lose.
might rent one of them nba games tomorrow just to try 'em out
