KotOR MMO Announcement Announced?
Posts
You waddle two steps.
You Gonk!
You waddle two steps....
...that's a point. they're in pretty much every star wars film or game, yet I've never seen them actually powering anything.
They explode pretty though.
I played both on the Xbox and recommend that. The inventory and menu system were definitely console-ified, though there might be mods for the PC version ala Oblivion. I also felt it controlled better with a game pad than keyboard and mouse, I tried playing KoTOR 1 recently on the PC and it felt stilted.
edit: And of course play the first one! It's the best one.
Stabbed in the throat. With the force.
Also, SCEA.
BioWare.
SCEA.
BioWare.
Do you see my point?
Today, today, today, TODAY!
When? When, when, when, when, WHEN?
Yes, I'm looking forward to this info.

o_O You SOE, right? Or are you saying God of War, Uncharted, etc. are terrible games?
Anyway, have we got anything other than rumours saying that it's a MMO? I mean, I'd buy a KOTOR 3 but a KOTOR MMO? Probably not...
Its bloody 4pm here you savages! How many times must the rest of the world wait for the US to catch up? We're sick of carrying you slowpokes!
Since Bioware is in Alberta, likely Mountain time. If they're going by Austin time, then it's Central. So anywhere from 3-4 PM EST is my guess.

The only problem with this being that the IG-series of droids won't be invented for thousands of years after the KOTOR time-frame.
Either way, I'd love to see "droid" as a unique meld of player race and class, where they can modify their own bodies, install new programs, etc. It would be quite different from other races and classes, in my vision. We'll see.
Also, I too desire an announcement.
You mean other than the fact that BioWare built an MMO studio from the ground up two years back, have been hiring for a "secret MMO" project for that same time period, signed several license contracts with LucasArts, and are set to announce a "new MMO project"? No, we have nothing but those rumors to lead us to believe it's a Star Wars MMO of some variety.
(Also, there is a thread about this already, in the MMO sub-forum...where info about MMO's go).

But I want something, anything... to break WoW's hold on me once and for all...
I will buy this game.
What are those, screenshots? Slides? Demographics? SECRETS OF THE UNIVERSE?
Seriously, is it official, BW Austin is making the KOTOR MMO?
Are these shots from the game they are announcing?
XBL/PSN/Steam: APZonerunner
Time to finish that fucking writing submission.
Star Wars: The Old Republic.
MMO
Set 300 years after Kotor 2.
Continuity with that storyline.
So basically they leave the timeline you want continued alone so that a single player game can be made to finish it, and set the MMO in the same essential time period. I'm failing to see the fail in this.
Like, really, really unfond of it. Too cartoonish.
But I'm still hopeful for the Story. Kind of wish for a KOTOR 3 instead, though.
