Just found out about this, but apparently Alienware are hosting a call of duty: world at war event, in Melbourne, Australia.
This kinda thing doesn't really happen often. Anyone here going along?

Australia, October 7, 2008 - Alienware and Activision are teaming up to hold a massive Call of Duty: World at War launch party on November 8th in Melbourne at Swinburne University. How massive is 'massive'? We're talking a 24 hour party with 100+ Alienware Desktops and 100 Xbox 360s running Call of Duty: World at War and James Bond 007 in Quantum of Solace.
I guess that's pretty massive.
Not only is the event before the launch of both titles, giving Aussie gamers the chance for some serious hands-on time ahead of their respective launch dates, but there'll be plenty of other stuff to do too, such as indoor laser skirmish in an underground car park, "awesome arcade games" and a Guitar Hero lounge. Plus, free V energy drinks throughout and plenty of promo girls.
Each attendee will also receive a Call of Duty: World at War show bag, containing a self-heating coffee mug, dog tags, CoD hat, t-shirt, CoD pen, lanyard and a copy of Spider-Man 3 on PC.
The party is limited to 800 attendees plus press, and tickets are AUD $29 a pop. For further information and to purchase tickets, head on over to Alienware's site.
Sounds like a good time.
