Should I Join the Opera Campus Crew?

Check this thing out! I like Opera and I live on a campus, right? So that might be cool. But I'm a little conflicted and I really see no way to make up my mind so I'm asking the Internet.

Pros:
  • I can stick it on my resume
  • I actually do like Opera
  • I could probably do the stuff they want you to do
  • T-Shirts?
  • I'm introverted and it would give me more excuses to go out and do stuff. Admittedly meeting people under the aegis of "try my Internet browser" is a little nerdy BUT who cares

Cons:
  • I'd have to do stuff
  • It has the potential to be a worthless waste of time?
  • There might not really be a point

So like I said nothing's really dispositive in my mind right now. I don't really know EXACTLY what I want from you, subset of the Internet. I just figure you guys can help. H&A is full of awesome.

Do it! You'll meet new people, have something cool to put on your resume, and get out of your dorm. If you hate it, you can always quit.

Do it. This shouldn't even be a question - there's something you're interested in and your campus has a group dedicated to that "something."

It would be silly not to. When given the choice between participating in something interesting/educational/whatever and doing nothing, you should almost always do it, especially when you're in college.

I wouldn't really be "participating" in anything because that impies other participants. It would be just me. Unless there's an untapped fount of Opera support hidden deep within my campus. Plus I participate in a bunch of other stuff.
