But which one is his real severed head?

Haha, man when I start wanting to collect something I don't do it half-assed. I have 17 Marvel Legends auctions on my Ebay Watch list and I have 3 sale threads bookmarked with Marvel Legends on them. Now I just need to...get some money. Might help.

$65.00 plus shipping. Granted, I did not shop around, I just went to the guy that had the best looking ones on www.mugglab.com.

    His rorschach is awesome.

Yeah, he said that was his second custom, and he had a bunch of rave reviews. I like the design, I'd just like it to be a little sharper, and the paint to be a little different finish, but the rest of his work looks good, so I'm not worried.

Not to disparage custom-buying or the fine art of custom creating, but...isn't it pretty likely that there'll be a legit Iron Fist Mighty Mugg before too long? I wouldn't have thought so at first, but i mean...Thanos, Red Skull? Vision? They're not exactly sticking to the a-list.

Also those new Star Wars Muggs are great! Here i thought i'd be about done buying Star Wars ones...then Bossk shows up. Lousy loveable Bossk...

Wait, what the hell? Man, i wish clearances were chain-wide. I was just at Target and their Marvel Legends were $10 each on clearance. Granted, i'd really like that Fin Fang Foom, but $80 to get him still doesn't feel that cheap.

Nah. I doubt anything that's left for clearance would be a variant. Not that I really even thought or knew to look, but still. The only ML variant I have is a Loki I bought when that line was out.

That Hulk series is originally $15 though, right? I'd love to get a Fin Fang Foom though, but he's going for horrible amounts on Ebay right now, so I don't think so.

Is it a common occurrence for complete BAFs to start out expensive then get cheaper as they go on? Because Ares and Fin Fang Foom both seem to be generally more expensive that almost all the other BAFs. Man, I'd love me an Ares.

I think it depends on the BAF. Ares, maybe? But i can't really see Fin Fang Foom ever getting cheap. The Galactus and Sentinel BAFs have held their value pretty well i think, and those came with $8 figures that stores were flooded with for months.

I got that for Christmas. At least the good reissues come with a little something extra. Prime came with a DVD, comic book, and a little talking Autobot head. Those turtles come with a DVD. I don't mind paying extra for something I all ready had if I get something extra too.

Nabbed that for $28 off Amazon. Of course I'm like pretty entrenched in Transformers stuff so I tend to know when those kind of deals are going down. (that kind of sounds dumb in hindsight after typing it but oh well) Still nice to get it though, didn't have any sort of G1 Prime beforehand. I'll probably never do much with the extra stuff though.

But really that reissue was way overpriced, pretty much everyone was bitching about and now I know Target has it generally on clearance for a little under $50, which is a much more reasonable price.

As much as I miss my old TMNT figures I can't really justify getting these reissues.

Also I am determined now to get to put together a complete Fin Fang Foom BAF. I believe I have someone I can get half of the parts from so then I will just need to scour and find the other half.

    Fun!

Man, i saw those TMNT reissues in Target today, nuts to that. A large chunk of my TMNT collection was put together a couple years ago at a now-defunct vintage toy store in Cincinnati. Figures were typically like $4 carded, main characters and obscure stuff alike...i bought a ton of them and opened 'em up just because it's easier to get complete figures that way.

I can't imagine there'd even be a market for $9 reissues for something that has very few valuable figures even in the "vintage" line.

I guess they're probably just a quick commemorative thing that'll be over and done with after a few figures though, like Mattel did with He-Man a few years back.

According to an article in ToyFare, the plan is to re-issue the original ten. Also, apparently the back card art is different as there is a tiny Kang figure next to Shredder - I'll have to double check later. As for a market, I suspect there are casual fans who might want these. Sadly, $9 is about the normal price for a 5 or 6 inch figure nowadays. They are better quality than the He-Man figures though (that's a whole fiasco for another thread) as they are exact. Hopefully though the plastic on Mike's nunchucks are softer, I remember bending the nunchucks and them instantly snapping...

Without having purchased and opened one, i'd say softer weapon plastic is almost guaranteed, i'd be surprised if most of the old weapons meet today's current safety standards. Droopy swords for all! On the plus side though, yes the nunchucks would be more durable.

I can't speak as to the quality of the He-Man reissues either, again i owned all the vintage ones by the time the reissues hit.

Dammit, the only reissues i'd ever have a use for are the Transformers ones, and those are often as expensive as the G1 variety unless you need a box.

I really want the DCU Wave 7 Flash, Captain Cold and Kid Flash. Are those gonna be in any stores? Meijer, Target, and Wal-mart don't have anything and I don't really feel like paying $15 in the comic store or $15 + 7.99 shipping on Ebay.

Also i would kill to be able to buy these things for $15 in a comic shop. That's only like a $4 markup! But none of the shops around here carry them.

Ok so I've gone from having 2 Marvel Legends figures to having 24 Marvel and DC figures and most of the Fin Fang Foom BAF in a little over 2 weeks.

Should I be concerned with this development.

Brother, there's always cash for corndogs.

But yeah, pretty much all of them I got for cheap, so my wallet's fine for now. I'm only getting the last part for Foom (which unfortunately might cost way too much) and maybe like the one figure I've wanted for a few years now, then that's it until maybe the new DCU wave starts showing up.
