Not sure what to do with this girl.

Pretty sure I might have tried to hard to get with her and it is hard for me to talk to her without flirting so should I just back off and not talk to her as much. I work with her so I see her everyday...

Also, stop hitting on girls at work. It's a terribly uncomfortable thing for them to experience, because they're stuck there with you every day for however long your shifts overlap, and there is no way for them to get out of the situation. They can't make some excuse and physically leave, because they're at work. They can't straight-out tell you "Look, knock it the fuck off, I'm not interested" because they're at work and don't want to start drama. They can't give you hints to stop because you're probably completely oblivious to them, and might even think "Heh, quit it, you" actually means "Teehee, I love being inappropriately harassed, flirt with me more!"

If you like a girl at work, approach her after work and say "Hey, want to go grab a couple of drinks on Friday after we get off work?" If she says yes, cool, you have a date - but save the flirting for when you're on the date with her, don't do it during work. If she says no, back the fuck off and stop flirting, period, because she's not interested.

Even then Kate, the general rule of not dating colleagues stands in this case I think.

Oh man that not flirting with girls at work thing makes a lot of sense, is there any subtle way I can ask a girl outside of work if they are only tolerating me because I work with them? Not so much a date thing more of a friend thing.

If it's consciously hard for you to talk to a girl without flirting with her, it would probably be a good idea to back off and re-evaluate things. The last thing you want to be is the guy she dreads having to work with because he has no idea when to back off.

Whenever I have girls I don't want, I just throw them in the garbage. Someone is bound to pick them up sooner or later.
