I sent myself a couple of songs I wanted to be applied as a ringtone to myself via email, but when I recieved them they did not sport the option to "Apply as Ringtone" as the built in songs did. It's a Motorola Razr. Any help would be much appreciated.

(They are both mp3 files, the same as the other songs in the phone.)

It does for the US. I know that Verizon RAZR phones are really, REALLY locked down. I'm not sure if P2k commander is illegal or not (I don't think it is, since it's just a tool to get images/audio to and from a RAZR) but that's what I use with my Sprint RAZR. I can't guarantee that it's not locked down.

Shoot me a PM if you need help with the software.

Looks like it, but the only way to know for sure is to try it out. :)

That would be your problem, Telus won't let you do anything with your phone that you don't pay them for.

Most cell providers will not allow you to do something like that because they want the money.

The RAZR uses a standard USB cable for a data cable correct? You'll need a program called BitPim and a program called MPT (Motorola Mobile Phone Tools)

How to load MP3's into a RAZR V3c.

Seconding P2Kcommander. Though it was a bitch to get it to actually recognize my phone. Needed a few .dll packs as well to get everything to show up. There are a number of RAZR modification sites out there with tutorials.

Use the program BitPim to unlock your phone and let you just drag and drop files onto it. Provided you have a bluetooth adapter for your PC.
