So I'm trying to kill two birds with one stone by getting the Full Corruption and Tower Master achievements in one game. I think I may have screwed up the Tower Master achievement though. I was attempting to show the Silent Order the error of its ways when I accidentally made my minions pick up the nearby sack of gold. Thinking nothing of it, I ordered them to drop it so I could head back to my tower and refill my health and come up with a new strategy for the Silent Order. After dealing with the Silent Order, however, I go over to pick up the gold and it's not there anymore. I found something on the Internet that says I get credit towards the achievement as soon as I get ten minions on the sack. Does anyone know if this is true?

Agreed. I was following a walkthrough I found online so I think I was doing okay. I'm gonna press on and just assume I got credit for the sack of gold towards the achievement even if my gold tally doesn't reflect that. Why would it disappear if I didn't get credit for it?

That's the problem: I can't go back for it 'cause it's gone. I accidentally picked it up, put it back down, and when I came back from my tower, it was gone. I really hope that there's not some glitch that makes items disappear if you pick them up and don't get them to a waypoint before going to your tower.

No. In my hubris, I assumed I would be careful enough not to need more than one save.
Bad Nohbody! This is the ultimate fall! Pride and hubris have condemned you!
But really, this lesson is elementary. I learned it well, many many years ago, during Final Fantasy 8. Do you know what it's like to lose your only save, on the third disc? How about if you didn't learn anything that time, and it happened again?!
Speaking of Overlord, has anyone found any use for Green Minions (other than clearing poison plants and such)? I mean, Browns are about as decent at dishing out the hurt and since they don't require having to jump onto their enemy's back they can retreat or be recalled way easier on top that.
So am I missing something here?

When they ARE on someone's back, they deal MASSIVE DAMAGE.

It was that somehow, from within the derelict-horror, they had learned a way to see inside an ugly, broken thing... And take away its pain.

Yeah. Some of the bigger bad guys are a lot easier to deal with when they're all worried about the green dudes on their back stabbing them in the scalp.

If you tell them to stay, they go stealth so you can setup traps. That's how I did the arena. Setup 50 or so Greens in the back, drew some guys in... And BOOM.
Yeah, greens may be squishy in face-to-face melee, but if you send them to work over large enemies (which they'll do by jumping on their backs), they do insane damage quickly. Also, their stealth ability is good for patrolling enemies as well. I wonder if posting a handful of blues out in view and hiding greens nearby and letting the greens rape anyone who goes for the blues would work. I may try that later.
Oh, I always kept like a pack of five posted just outside of the main battle and send in my main pack. On most occasions, they'll run in, pick up the dead and bring them back to their post. Unless things go to shit, I could keep most of my pack alive.
Plus, blues are indispensable for the rare times you have to fight magic creatures.
I just went with about 50 greens. Killed most everything without a problem.
Fifty Browns don't leave much of anything behind either.
Though I do wonder which of the two would have a higher survival rate in the hands of a competent player. And which of the two would have a higher survival rate in my hands. :P
EDIT: Wait, hang on. I just remembered Greens are totally superior when it comes to fighting Beholders. But since most Beholder fights are essentially puzzle fights (and some Beholders can only be damaged by Greens) I'm not sure they count.

I learned. I learned eventually.
