First things first, yes I know these are old but I just saw them and I am guessing that a few people haven't seen them either.
Marvel's recent animated movies have been....less than stellar. The Ultimate Avengers movies were in my opinion decent, but could be much better. On the UA2 disc there are two previews for upcoming Marvel Direct-to-DVD Animated films, both of which look damn promising.
When was the last time his origin was retold? Does anyone even remember he used to be a surgeon?

I haven't picked it up yet, but doesn't Brian K. Vaughn's new Strange Miniseries have quite a bit about him being a doctor? And in Exiles, they had a entirely non-magic Strange as a supporting character for an arc.

I seem to recall I read an interview with Mignola somewhere, where he talked about how he didn't really like the Screw-on Head cartoon very much because he found it too faithful to his comic.
He really seems to want to see what other people do with his properties, and doesn't mind at all if they take them in a different direction then he intended.
It sorta reminds me of Van Oeming's art in the Soul of Venice. Not a lot, but enough. It's hard for me to fully enjoy Hellboy without Mignola or Sook art...it just compliments it.
Dr. Strange is the darkhorse of Marvel's major players.
I think that's mostly because he didn't have a 90s cartoon. He was in a few episodes of the Spider-Man series, but I hardly even remember that. All I can remember are gratuitous cameos by The Punisher, Blade, and Captain America.
I think the story looks like it'll be pretty decent and they aren't going to kid it up too much, however the CG is pretty bad, and Iron Man is all CG as are his enemies it seems.
A resounding :?

FUCK!
I thought they were actually going to make a live action Iron Man movie which would be the best thing ever.

I just watched the Iron Man preview, and all I could think of was "Why oh why must all animation attempt to emulate anime?" That said, so long as this doesn't suck complete ass, I'll probably at least rent it from Netflix.
So it looks like Marvel is going to have a stable of animated stuff that might come close to rivaling the DCAU. I wish someone would put together a list of worthy shows so I might pick them up on DVD when they come out. How are those Ultimate Avengers movies? How about the Hellboy shows that recently came out?

So that explains Exiles.
The Strange origin mini-series by Straczynski came out about a year ago but seems to have been completely ignored as far as continuity goes:

It started out okay, but ended up becoming a Matrix rip-off with Strange as Neo.
Deep down... you know you do to.

The only way this could be better is if it was done Screw-On Head style.
I really hope that show makes it as a series....
That looks very promising! I really hope The Amazing Screw-On Head makes it to being a show.

No you equal stupid.
The awesomeness of your name and the suckness of your post conflict.
Liam Neelson?
Uncle Joey?

With each and every post you make it becomes more and more obvious that you know nothing about anything.

I think that is that Sime guy. He runs some shop in I think California and writes some column at CBR or somewhere.
