This is certainly not awful art--in fact its downright good--but in my opinion it's nowhere near as good as Aja's art. Anyway mainly it's the broken promises and shattered expectations that kill me. It's like being told for months you'd be getting an XBox360 for Christmas and instead you get a PS3. Well awesome but uhh... what about the thing I wanted that you said I was getting? I was really looking forward to playing Halo3 and now I guess.. not? Thanks Mom and Dad.... D: o_O
Aja hasn't drawn much of this arc, so I am not too nerd ragey about him not drawing this issue. We have a few more issues of Fraction and Brubaker, so maybe he can draw one of those.

Aja not drawing much of this arc has been stoking my nerd rage over the course of the last 6 or so issues. So again, I'm the complete opposite. I was placated, mollified even, by the prospect that we'd send the creative team off with a bang in the oversized all-Aja final issue and conclusion to the arc, but now this is just the icing on the disappointing nerd rage cake.

Anyway 15 is Fraction and Khari Evans with the Iron Fist who goes to Africa, Bei Beng Wan I think? And 16 is Danny's 33rd birthday, which is supposed to be the last Fraction/Bru/Aja issue. But now who knows?

It's horrible only because they told everyone that the reason Aja only did 3 pages last month was because he was concentrating on drawing all of this issue.

    but whoops

I was making a joke about an earlier Iron Fist issue where Orson Randall used a "lightning from God" technique, infusing his bullets with Iron Fist mojo.

Which I misremembered as "lightning from Heaven."

It wasn't a criticism of his art.

I almost made a joke about it being too bad Booster Gold wasn't there to save him.

If you think about it, given their shape-shifting abilities, skrulls should be virtually unbeatable in pure physical combat by keeping a ton of sensory organs active and constantly shifting their body away from incoming attacks. I mean, unless they're trying to hide their shape-shifter status, fighting them physically should be like fighting the T1000, right?

I'd guess that only an exceptional Skrull body could keep those tricks up at a steady pace, though, in the same way that only an exceptional human body can do what Shang-Chi does.

But yeah, I figure that what you described would be one of the chief focuses of a Skrull fighting style.

If they can shape shift on the fly and to such an extent as we've seen in the books thus far then, yes, they would pretty much own anyone when it comes to close combat.

But my hero worship of Fraction written Iron Fist = he owns all.

They could always invent some Skrull equivalent, if it hasn't already been established that humans aren't the only ones who can do so.

Well, one of the points of the Sacred Invasion is that the Skrulls, and all other living worlds, have magic and gods. Moreover, the Skrulls are apparently so magical that their gods capture and enslave gods from other worlds.

Plus, isn't the current Empress also a prophet?

I'm surprised we haven't seen more alien magic users...

I can't imagine them throwing anyone at the Immortal Weapons that are anything less than the Thunderbolts. Even then, the T-bolts would be hard pressed to take on even one of the Immortal Weapons. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to daydream about the T-Bolts getting destroyed by John Aman.

Well, we all know that if the hero capture operation is conducted by SHIELD, it's mostly for show. The CSA, though, has an agenda and an ax to grind with superhumans that they don't control, so the T-Bolts will always be the only team going after unregistered heroes with any real vigor.
