PoP: Sands of Time computer too fast?

Hey, I downloaded PoP: SoT for the PC onto my Macbook Pro running Win XP SP2 Home. When I run the game, it seems like it's running in super-fast mode - the Prince zips around in a really sort of choppy way - I can hardly see the animation. When I click to attack he'll do like 3 attacks. I would have taken this to the Ubisoft Tech Support, but when you try and log into the page it breaks and says Contact Us Here... which takes you back to the Tech Support page.
Anyone know how to fix this? Running a 2.16 Ghz Core 2 Duo with 2 GB of RAM. Video Card is ATI Radeon X1600.

I'd guess the problem is you're running on both cores, and it's processing the game twice as fast as the game expects to. After you start the game, bring up the Task Manager, and find the game's process. Right-click on that, then Set Affinity and disable one of your cores.
If that doesn't fix it, then I don't know what's wrong.
You can also use a program called Imagecfg.exe to set affinity for a program before you start it. http://forums.speedguide.net/showthread.php?t=187768
That has some information on how to use it and a download link at the bottom of the post.
Speaking of SoT problems, is there a way to get it to work with Logitech controllers? I tried to play the PC version on GameTap last night and it wouldn't recognize my controller although I've had no problems with latter games in the series.

ed: oh shit, xpadder seems to have stopped development, website's shut down... you can still download the app, though.
Yea, try the single cpu affinity (just had to do that myself for SS2)
If not, try something like moslo to slow down your PC
