    Honestly it's partly sociology. People in groups of like-minded people tend to make each other more intense in whatever view they all share. So it's not unreasonable to see a self-selecting group like McCain/Palin supporters act as racists in larger numbers than normal.

    So, to be fair to the media, they're not cherry-picking so much as getting the cherries out of a bucket full of cherries.
