Costume Ideas for the Missus

Hello all, thought I'd throw in another costume thread. This one's for my wife. This is her fourth halloween (sheltered youth/curruption by myself). Her past costumes have been Fairy (lame), Nancy (I was Sid), and last year she was a skeleton (screen printed on scrubs) while I was Arthur Dent.

Note: If you wear pajamas and a robe to a party expect to be the most comfortable person there, and to get sleepy and go home early.

This year I will either be Abe Lincoln or Pirate Abe Lincoln depending on the price and availability of hats.

The wife is hoping for some suggestions, as she continues to hone the fine art of costume selection. Ideas thus far include: Hard-boiled egg. Our dog. Sarah Palin (boo! hiss!). Chicken Suit. and some other silliness i can't remember at the moment.


Edit: She finds the idea of Sexy ___ to be stupid. So no Sexy Firewomen, Sexy Prime Ministers, Foxy Boxesr, Hott Cops, or Attractive Female Janitors...

I'm going as Violet from the Incredibles. I already had black leather knee high boots and a red shirt that can easily have the 'i' logo ironed on. All I had to do was buy a black wig, gloves, mask and red stockings that are not sheer when on. I think I spent around $30 total. I'm wearing a black skirt because I'm a little too shy to run around in underwear. It's going to turn out pretty cute.

If you're wife's not afraid of paint I did Smurfette last year and it was pretty fun. I had a white skirt, top and shoes, so all I had to do was paint myself blue. I substituted the hat with a daisy and called it done. I also had a friend with a red dress get a green wig, paint her face red with black spots and be a strawberry. The same year a different friend wore a leotard with leggings and leg warmers with heels and a head band as Jane Fonda.

ooh thanks for the suggestions! I'm used to doing stupid scary or downright gross sh*t, I've got to get in the right mindset to help the lady.

I like the Jane Fonda personally, but its not my choice. Thanks again
