I can not believe how irresponsible some parents can be, and stupid, I mean what parent in their right mind would let an 8 yr old kid, no matter under what supervision shoot a fully automatic weapon, or any weapon for that matter.
there are some things that i just don't have sympathy for
like drunk driving
and this
I don't have much sympathy for the dad, or the dumbass instructor. They should have known better. But I feel sorry for the kid, and his mum and brother.

I was shooting at eight years old. Nothing came of it, nothing even came close to coming of it.
I shot .22s though. It doesn't take an expert to tell you that an eight year old isn't going to be able to keep a fully automatic weapon under control consistently. I wouldn't expect it to completely flip around like that, but I wouldn't expect good things to come of it.
When I'd shoot my grandpa's shotgun, dad would always stand behind me and brace my arm to make sure something like this didn't happen. I still bruised my shoulder, but all the pellets went down range.

Would you allow your child to fire an Uzi under adult supervision?
[ ] Yes
[ ] No
[ ] I don't have children
nippy even
the people who answer yes all come back a couple months later to change their vote to the last option
haw haw dumb redneck father lettin' his kid fire an uzi deserves what he gets durr
poor guy, can't imagine how he must feel after that
why is that last option there, how does that matter

judging from all of this that child will find a way to decisively take himself out soon enough
I guess to stop the inevitable "I don't have kids but here is what I think of parenting" crowd from skewing their highly scientific poll
Why do we not just sell the middle of the country back to France?
