For a while now, ive noticed my vision gradually getting worse when reading magazines/books, using the computer and drawing. Things appear a little blurry, double vision etc. No big deal, probably need glasses. But whats concerned me is that ive noticed that these symptoms have started to have an effect on my vision when i'm not reading. For example, things from a short distance (about 10 meters) appear slightly blurred, and kinda move around. Though i havn't seen an eye doctor yet (i plan to) just wondering if anyone has expierienced this? Is it possible for vision to just suddenly get bad? Just reading over this post right now is difficult.
Hm, of course I can't diagnose you over the Internet, but I would try to hit up an eye doctor sometime. People often neglect their eyes untill something goes horribly wrong. Your vision is not something to be toyed around with so seeing an eye doctor sometimes, even if its just every other year is a good idea. There are some nasty eye conditions out there that kick in in young adulthood that can be treated if diagnosed. I am not trying to scare you here, most likely it is something that is indeed just corrected by glasses, but your vision is a very precious thing. For the same reason that I get my teeth check out once a year I try to get my eyes checked. It can get very expensive and irrecoverable in case something goes wrong.
I am mostly on this soap box because I have TERRIBLE eye sight 8-).
It's probably been slowly getting worse, but you're now at the point where your eyes are getting fatigued by self-correcting in order to focus. Your ability to focus on close-up objects inevitably degrades over time, which is why practically everyone over 40-45 or so uses reading glasses (or should).

same thing happened to me. dim lights, monitors, and just getting older have affected my eyes. Also, it tured out I had a slight stigmatism that just never really presented itself before.
I had 20/20 in high school, and now it's like 20/40, or a little worse. I got glasses within a week of the doctors appointment and now I see great. I'm not squinting all the time and things are a lot better.
hmm... well, i knew a guy who noticed his eye sight worsening, and then three years later... BAM! he got herpes!
true story!
seriously tho... get your eyes examined... they'll do basic tests for glaucoma, cataracts, and other issues and they'll direct you to an ophthalmologist if they notice any issues
but most likely you're just going to join the world of the four-eyes

I see what you did there.
Edit - Damnit, I got the light-coloured field. Doesn't work as well here.
Can trade TF2 items or whatever else you're interested in. PM me.
I don't. Is that a bad sign?
