Okay, maybe not exactly, but this bothers the shit out of me. I'm 18, rather short 165 cm or so. Wherever I go, people comment and say I look young/little/cute/whatever. I hate having any facial hair so I usually shave every day. I think I dress appropriately for my age, and I have rather long hair.

Whenever I tell people I'm studying for exams, they say "Oh yeah, what year? 11?" (I'm at university!)

So, guys, any tips? How do I look older?

Work out, maybe get a hair cut. I don't know how your hair looks, but if you have a youngish face to begin with, long hair tends to exacerbate your cutesy features.

Let a shadow grow if you think it suits your jawline... it's not facial hair, it's just enough of a shadow to show that, why yes, you CAN grow facial hair. It can also be very attractive, depending on your facial structure.

Also I don't think Year 11 - Uni is that big a leap, but that could just be me.

Most importantly, however, it may also be how you carry yourself, but not knowing you any better, it's hard to determine how to help you in this case.

    I have the same problem.

I have people come to the door asking for the home owner. When I tell them I own the house, they ask for my dad. I usually close the door on them.

It is frustrating, but don't let it bother you.

You could always do what my friend suggests, find a hot old lady who has an asshole son, and make her your sugar mama. She'll like you because your cute, and she'll sleep with you because she hates her son.

    Nice 8-)

Thanks for all the replies. I'm definitely going to change up my hair style. It looks utterly ridiculous at the moment.

Overall though, I think I should just stop worrying about it. Thanks for the advice :)

longer head hair and shorter facial hair = more youthful look

thus, the opposite is true for a more mature look.

Duder, in five years you will long for your babyface days. Roll with it and try not to let it get to you.

There's a lot of truth on both sides of this.

On the one hand, everyone spends all of their time before a certain age trying to look older, and then all their time after it trying to look younger. Just roll with what you got.

On the other, dressing and acting like you're still in high school will make you appear to be that age. Given my choice of attire, behaviour, etc, I can pretty much shuffle anywhere on a 15-year slide rule.

And on the Tube side of things, you're still 18. You're barely a "man" by legal definition, let alone approaching Lumberjack status. Enjoy your immature years, get money, smoke trees, fuck bitches, etc.

...I read that as fuck trees, smoke bitches...and I was worried I wasn't doing it right.

I swear when I turned 18 I was scrawny as shit, about 6 feet tall and maybe 145 pounds. When I turned 19, I was the same height only 40 pounds heavier.

    You might still be growing...

Haircut and change your style of dress. I can't help you out with the haircut much unless you want to get really radical (I shave my head).

As for your wardrobe, check out GQ and other fashion mags. Look at what the older guys are wearing and follow suit.

If you're not having a problem with the ladies thinking you're too young then enjoy it while it lasts.
