Alright, so I own an HP r947 digital camera, I love the thing. A while ago I remember walking into my office where the camera sits on the charge most of the time with a big ol' error that said "Problem charging battery", I undockd the camera, freaked out a bit at the fact that it wouldn't turn on, put it back in the dock and it seemed to work properly. Thinking nothing of it I let it continue to sit there on the dock.
Well a few days ago I decide to start using it and notice that the battery only lasts for a couple shots. Last night I noticed that if I wanted to take a picture I had to turn the camera on, take a shot, then off again for a moment or two, then on, picture, off, rinse and repeat.
Naturally I assumed bad battery, not that complicated to figure out.
So, I decide today to start looking around for a replacement battery and decide to take the battery out of the camera, well apparently there's a bulge in the middle of it that made it a little difficult to remove the battery from the slot.
First off, I'm assuming the bulge is not normal, and second what are the odds of any type of damage to the camera as a result of this?
