i assumed that all episodic games would follow Valve's release schedule of "shorter games, for less money, with equally ridiculous gaps between releases"
I'm not very far in, but so far it seems so good.
My only gripe was that when importing my character it changed a couple of features, and I had to play around to figure out what they were before to make it look right.

Use individuals specialize not team ups, if you pull them off you do more damage.
Hopefully you used Violet a lot before reaching the boss, she gets more powerful each time you use her.
EDIT: Oh and make sure you block like crazy.

Had to try a few times for the final boss, mostly because it bugged out after I failed the first time and wouldn't continue, so I had to load my game and do the first part of the battle again, same thing happened in the first episode strangely
Bring on Episode 3!
Also the pathfinding is still as horrible as ever, apart from that and a few bugs Ep2 is pretty much worth the buy in all respects.

Once you're done with all the explosives, his first move will be to boost his attack - so use a Weak Sauce on him. Use your character's individual specials on them (remember that the 2nd attack for Gabe and the PC are better against individual targets than the 3rd one) and fill in the gaps between the specials charging by using the Allies. He shouldn't even get an attack in until he's in the second form.
Keep paying attention to when the Weak Sauce wears off and throw another one on him, if you keep that up while hitting him and blocking you should have everyone at almost full health and him almost dead by the time you run out.

I believe Catsby is actually the little imp fellow. As we see here in The Crocotillian, the imp clearly asks "And for you Twisp", meaning he is ironically Catsby instead of the cat.

I was a little let down by the end boss fight
Too quick
It stutters a lot which is really annoying. It stopped after awhile but for the first hour it was really annoying. The sound and the screen would stutter.

Also are the harder modes just harder minigames for pulling off the special moves? I'm having a hard enough time with these new ones as it is.
