It depends on your states laws. Some allow you to have a gun in your car without a CCW, some don't.
IIRC Texas only requires that the gun be concealed within the vehicle but California requires a permit. I'll have to check.
You also have to be "travelling" in Texas, unless the gun is in the trunk I think. And you're now presumed to be travelling at all times when in the car, unless the prosecutor can prove otherwise.

I've seen half streets before, but always greater than 1. Like 23rd 1/2. I assume that streets were built in between 23rd and 24th and they wanted to keep the numbers unbroken.
