Eventually. Just not yet. All the TV networks are going to be jumping all over each other trying to scoop the first state results.

As far as abstinence, it is definitely important to teach, if only to remind kids that it is an option, it is the only way to be 100% sure of not getting pregnant, etc.

Abstinence education simply doesn't make any sense unless its in context, though. Abstinence only "wins every time" when kids didn't realize that sex was fun in the first place. If kids are fully informed that "yes sex is fun, but it carries a couple of risks, and so here is how to do it safely if you really want to, but in general you ought to e selective about when and with who you do it" sometimes they WILL choose not to do it.

I'm sort of on the fence about that. Obviously, we need to teach kids that sex isn't something they have to do.

The human body has a funny way of undermining that message though...

"It protects our children from being taught in public schools that “same-sex marriage” is the same as traditional marriage, and prevents other consequences to Californians who will be forced to not just be tolerant of gay lifestyles, but face mandatory compliance regardless of their personal beliefs."

CNN sometimes has a live stream, separate but equal with their TV stream (different anchors a lot of the time, but more internet-driven coverage.

MSNBC usually does too, but you need plugins that I never have on firefox.

    Not sure about Fox.

    I'm hoping Comedy Central will.

Usually when the first polls close is when we see the numbers.

Looks like MSNBC says 3 hours and 31 min until first results.... so maybe I'm wrong.

Additionally, some places still like to lie about why abstinence is the only real choice, and when the kids find out the truth (via the internet, usually), it makes everything else they were told questionable.

We'll start getting early exit polls in about three hours or so from the east coast states, but these are questionable at the least.

Better numbers coming at 7pm Eastern when they will start calling states.

I'm seriously considering sitting up to watch the results come in live.

To put this in perspective, I'm Irish. But dammit, this election is more interesting than any of ours. I think the live coverage could be fun to watch.

No, see if you force people to learn that gay marriage is a choice, it's forcing your beliefs on people, if you deny people the knowledge that gays exist, it's morality.

I'm so pissed off about that Congressional seat. We had the same useless guy in office for like thirty years, and his whole campaign platform seemed to be "hey union guys if I win I'll come to your factory and shake all of your hands the next day" and it worked.

Then he got sick and picked his successor and the same stupid bastards voted for the guy he picked. It's fucking ridiculous and a little sickening.
