So basically my lengthy depression fully manifested itself at the start of this semester of my sophomore year at college and I became apathetic towards school work in its entirety.
However, I have come to terms with myself over this past few weeks and realized how well I have just fucked myself. I'm taking 5 classes totaling 18 hours, and I realize that about 8 of them are salvageable, while namely CalcIII and Physics II, probably aren't.
So here is the problem, I wish to transfer out of this school someday, how badly would it be for me if two dropped classes showed up on my transcript?
If it matters my GPA is about 3.4 and I'm a Civil Engineering major.
Go to the Engineering school, find out who your counselor is, and ask him or her. If they don't have things set up that way, they should at least have someone to talk to who knows exactly how this works for your school. You don't have to explain why, just say you have 5 classes at 18 hours and due to 'stuff', you won't be able to salvage your grade in two classes. They will give you information on deadlines to withdraw, explanations of what taking an I means, options for retaking the classes... or point you to someone who does have the information.
Generally speaking, dropped classes mean much less than Ds and Fs. There are a dozen reasons for dropping a class load and it isn't exactly unspeakable. So long as you do complete the classes later and have a grand GPA, it won't matter in the least. I'd be surprised if anyone even bothers to ask you about why.

This late in the semester is it even possible to drop a class? If you're on a regular fall/spring semester schedule your semester is almost over and every school I know would consider this an F not a withdrawal at this point.
I can't speak from personal experience, but my best friend had a sort of mental breakdown one semester, and it ended up fucking her grades over. However, since she had notes from doctors that treated her (she was voluntarily committed for 72 hours), she was able to get a medical withdrawal on her classes.
I assume a medical withdrawal would appear differently on your transcript and could maybe be a bit more understandable than a regular W. So, if you have documentation about your depression, you maybe should take this route.
Also, you may not be able to withdraw regularly this late in the semester(as the person above me said) so you may have to find some sort alternative means of salvaging your GPA.

I'm aware of the deadlines, and am in the middle of re planning classes, my question is rather the ramifications of having these two classes showed as dropped.
It was/is undiagnosed, still working through it, but still feeling better than I have previously after talking with a few people close to me.
I am still capable of dropping, however the deadline passed of where it would not show up on my transcript, otherwise I would be asking this question a few weeks ago.
Furthermore, I have talked to my class adviser about this and he didn't explain anything at all.
