That's Phat! or Fashion for the Voluptuous Man.

Ok, so I took an inventory of my closet. To put it mildly, it's shit. I realized that when I noticed the homeless in Seattle sometimes dress nicer than me. Not always, but far too frequently for me to consider myself trendy. Unless it's hobo trendy. And that's not really anything I was shooting for intentionally.

I currently still dress like it's 1994 and haven't really bothered to take notice of trends since. I'm trying to change that now, but having the form of a manatee makes finding fashionable items in my size something of a challenge.

So here's my quandary, where can I find fashion styles for a man that has seen the bottom of a KFC bucket more times than one should. I'm not Ralphie May big, more like Cedric the Entertainer.

On a side note, I'm starting to hit the gym because, frankly, this shit is ridiculous.

I've put on some weight over the last year (a lot of travel and a lot of stress, makes it easy to put on 20lbs without really noticing), and while I'm not really "heavy", I've definitely got some love handles going right now. I've found that a lot of places I usually shop at (from Abercrombie all the way down to Target) generally size things just a bit too "athletically" for my current torso. Surprisingly enough, though, I've found that stuff from The Gap is pretty flattering from a "do I look fat in this?" standpoint, and their online store carries extended sizes (and has a 25% off sale going right now, use the code EXTRA25). It might be worth a look.

If you’re planning on losing the weight anyway, just get outfits at Target and throw them out as you downsize.

What size shirt, pants do you wear? I'm just going to say this...there's a difference if you wear a 2xl or a 5xl.
