SMS question, on ATT, with iPhone

I have just gotten a new brick of happiness and increased my SMS usage. I am now getting reports from friends that my messages are arriving days late (happened to mention the day of the week in one). Is this just an SMS problem, an AT&T problem, an iPhone problem...fixable, not?

Google is giving me results spread more thinly than something quite thin (that was spread) and I'm hoping someone here will just know.

    I have never had an issue using SMS on my iPhone, but I can't say whether I'm the case or the exception.

    Actually, I have had one issue, but it's a "design choice, not a flaw." You can't get multimedia SMS's, which is kind of ridiculous when you think about it. No photos, no video, nothing. In order to receive them, they have to be sent to your email directly from the sender.

    ps, I love that picture in your sig, where is it from?

    Yeah...it makes some sense sort of on the MMS thing.

    I have an iPhone as well and I have experienced this. However now I cannot receive text messages at all since the last one I got with Sarah Palin's tits. Also Runningman you receive multimedia messages but you can't view them. You have to use this ridiculous login + pw and view them via the net. It is indeed silly however.

    Yeah, that's what I meant. I just reply to those with "email it to me."

    I've noticed (with AT&T) that sometimes I'll get voice mail up to days late. Can't say about texts, but maybe its something on their backbone?

    Huh. I never realized that.

    Do you know how I would go about doing that?
