And it's getting to the point where it's really effin' annoying. Everytime I shut firefox down, and start it up again, I have to log back into facebook, and other sites. The information is filled in, but I have to log back in, which is just a nuisance. The option to have firefox erase my information upon shutdown is turned off, so what do I do?
I've had this issue for months. It's just now getting worse for me, to the point that banking sites don't recognize my computer and make me do special authorizations.

This is the kind of thing where I've heard the solution is to wipe out your profile and make a new one. Google will be more helpful than I am on the specifics of that, but remember to back up your bookmarks and maybe make a list of what extensions you like. I forget whether there are easy ways to carry those over.
It seems like every morning or something around 6 AM I get logged out of everything in Firefox and even the site for my bank says it doesn't recognize my computer...
You don't have to completely wipe out your profile, just the 'cookies' file in your profile folder. I had this same problem and deleting this file fixed everything.
I assume its best to do all this when you don't have Firefox open, and you'll probably have to login one more time to all those sites before they 'stick'

I'm going to have to try this. I've had the same problem with Firefox for months, but always assumed it was some smartass's trick hidden in the code, because it only happened with Microsoft and Xbox related websites. Guess that was just coincidence.
Yea it was driving me crazy for the longest time. I don't know what caused the problem in the first place, but it only ever happened to me once and hasn't happened again since I deleted that cookies file. Firefox just remakes the file and everything is peachy :^:

Damn Firefox... at least IE never logged me out of anything.
