I just got the 46inch version of that tv and have it works great hooked up to my computer. It has VGA in, and I believe DVI, so you can connect it directly like that if you have a cable long enough. Doing it that way though you will need another cable for sound.
I have mine hooked up via hdmi on my Radeon x4870. I got a 35 foot hdmi cable for like 20 bucks online. My tv is on the opposite wall from my computer, so the cable has to go aaalll the way around the room.
You'll have to check what resolution your TV can handle when running over VGA if you go that route. My 1080p LG 5-series only does something silly like 1280x800 through VGA, so to get the full HD out of it I bought a DVI->HDMI cable and run that instead which gives me 1920x1080 and looks nice and sharp.
Audio comes two ways. I've got a splitter that takes the audio signal from the PC straight into the line-in on the TV for regular TV watching, and then for movies and things there's another RCA feed to my reciever. It just depends on how much electricity I feel like using.

I'm so happy my new laptop has an HDMI output. It makes everything so much more simple, since my TV doesn't have VGA-in. Apparently they had to sacrifice a USB port, but oh well.
So I have a 7800gt and I just bought a Samsung Ln52a650. I want to run my P.C though the T.V. Can I do it and what cords do I need?
I have the LN52A550 and an 8800GTS. I use a DVI>HDMI cable from monoprice to take the video to my receiver. Alternatively you can hook it straight to your TV with that cable. Then I use an optical cable to carry the audio. The native res my TV is 1920x1080, I would assume yours is the same. The Nvidia configuration utility has some HDTV specific stuff to help you stretch the picture to fit the TV if you want to use a lower res.
Whats the difference between all these DVI cords? I cant tell the DVI-D/DVI-A/DVI-I apart. Do I need a certain one for this? or will any do.
There is a difference. I really recommend looking at the DVI article on wikipedia and then examining your ports. A is analog, D is dual, uhhh yeah look at the article.
