What is your checklist for the following days?
- Get game at midnight
- 4 days off of work
- Case of beer
- Frozen foods
- Smokes
- Butt pillow
- Level 70 warrior waiting at the nearest zepplin
- Ventrilo
- Bed Pan(????)
Figure that the 140 page monolith is going to die out sooner or later?
My preparations thus far amount to; 0. I figure I'll end up idly wandering Toronto after work on Thursday in search of a Collector's Edition, and after hitting the local gaming shops within a couple blocks, will probably just settle for the regular edition and call it a night.
If the server is even remotely stable, I'll be very, very impressed. And if not, just more time for Left 4 Dead.

- 4 days off of work: No, and I'm mad at this
- Case of beer: no
- Frozen foods: no
- Smokes: I don't smoke
- Butt pillow: Yes
- Level 70 warrior waiting at the nearest zepplin: Paladin, but yes
- Ventrilo: Duh
- Bed Pan(????): Maybe >.>
I didn't take work off friday, because I know everything is going to be a fucking mess for the first couple of days, and I would end up just sitting at home frustrated.
I do plan on camping at walmart on thursday for a CE though.

Incidentally, I have literally wished to live in Toronto, so damn you.
A few work buddies and I are camping the midnight release at our newest Best Buy location. I'm hoping that since it's only been open a couple of months, and there's 3 others in a 10 mile radius that have been open for a few years, I'll have a decent chance to get a CE. I really, really want one.

See, thats what the beer and cigs are for. If I can't play I'll at least be having some fun!

- Get game at midnight: Nah, I have to work the next day
- 4 days off of work: Three (or three and a half if I can get a ride on Thursday), but close enough
- Case of beer: Not a drinker, but I'm sure I'll have some tasty beverages ready to go
- Frozen foods: I'll have some deli sliced turkey or chicken breast sandwiches
- Smokes: No smokee
- Butt pillow: My computer chair is mighty cushy
- Level 70 warrior waiting at the nearest zepplin: Yes, but also a 70 rogue, 70 Hunter and I'm debating bringing my 67 Warlock
- Ventrilo: Probably should re-install that, I keep forgetting to
- Bed Pan(????): Nope, just a sock

Maybe there'll be situations where CE's become available months after release like they did with the TBC one, the only thing I want in there is the DVD (which can be obtained by other means anyway) and mainly the art book (the TBC one was brilliant).

The midnight release pretty much dictates my second night off during my usual work week. So woo I guess.
Gonna take my mage up into Northrend. Not sure which zone yet.

I've got the CE on order via release date delivery from Amazon. I'm not taking any extra time off for it, though. I get this Sunday off, then I'll work through next Thursday, and then I'll have a 3-day weekend. I figure things will be a little less crazy by then.
I'm apathetic about the CE. If I see one, I'll get it, but if I don't see one, hey, whatever. If this expansion goes like the last one did, I'll be able to walk into Wal-Mart with no pre-order and just get one out of the shopping cart full of CEs that they had next to the register.
Whether I buy a copy of Wrath for my second account on release night, that I haven't decided. I kind of want my "main" DK to be on the second account, so I can have a tank-type character that can run future alts through stuff. But I'm definitely dedicating the next week or so to getting my Druid to 80 and gearing him up from there, so I'm not really in a hurry.
I'm still deciding on whether to level to 80, or try a DK. DK's look really fun to play, and everything, but I know its gonna be a clusterfuck day one with everyone and their mom wanting to try the DK.
I already have my CD Key. Enjoy the lines suckers!
You can smirk all you like, but having tasted the glorious new zones, you'll merely be among the first to lament the waves of filthy, unwashed masses clogging up your questing zones and camping your spawns/quest items, until you all finally crash the realm in a resounding and tangible scream of anguish, like that of a million voices crying out in fear and then suddenly being silenced with World Server Down, OMG I'M STUCK AT AUTHENTICATING, and "oh god, blue bar hanging for the last 10 minutes, I'm so close to 71!!".

I'm going to try to get my sweet ass into Utgarde Keep before the whole thing comes crashing down.
Seriously considering levelling entirely in instances after skipping all the 60-69 instances my first time through TBC and later regretting it.

The point isn't to be bloody clever, the point is to be clear that the thread is for general discussion about the game.

Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
I definitely want to try to do more instances in this one. I only saw the first two instances in Hellfire Peninsula and one of the instances in Zangarmarsh.

I figured that would pretty apparent from the [chat] tag.

I wasn't jumping on the guy, just noting that it didn't have the same flair as previous iterations of the thread. If the sole purpose of the title was to indicate what the thread was about, every single chat thread would just be "WoW Chat Thread v.#." I like that people can have some fun with it, shoot me.
-Roll into local game shop doing midnight launch, probably 20 minutes before midnight. Maybe get some food on the way there.
-Receive WotLK, go home
-Start installation
-Go to bed
-Wake up at normal time, start leveling
EDIT: Oh, and I'll start my Left 4 Dead steam download/install.

Do you need to install it I wonder if you are caught up on patches? hmm...
Pick it up midnight/early morning somewhere.
Have Thursday off.
Install it, while doing so ether hang with my lady or if she has work, play Fifa 09 and clear out my add-ons.
Play it.
Watch it lag.
Watch it crash.
Play Fifa 09.
I am going to:
Park my character by the zepplin,
Grab my laptop and go to taco bell,
go to my buddys place and start dancing,
go together to get the game at a midnight release,
Play all night, go to class at 9:30 am
take a nap,
Go to my remaining 2 classes.
Then enjoy the rest of the weekend

You will have to install wrath then repatch it to current version. There is content on the wrath install that is not on your client (art assets, for example), and the version of Wrath that is on-disc is 3.0, so it'll have to patch after installing.

I will crush you all and then fall behind because I'm lazy and don't care anymore.
Not that I have one, I'm just saying.
You don't even play anymore. And doesn't your guild forbid you from playing WoW anyways?
I know, I'm bad at clever titles.
