Some New Mods

Just a heads up that I have added redxranger on as a new mod in EE. I also have 2 other mod additions in the works, so I will report them here once they are finalized.

The second NEW MOD for EE is dynagrip.

The last new mod announcement should be coming some time today, hopefully.

just a question... because I like to bitch on the subject all the time. But why do some areas with a smaller population and a lower crime rate have a larger police force?

yes... thank you sir. It's just, after seeing the orig post I clicked on over to the ee mods and saw 4 names to se's 3. But upon further reading into the subject deni is just still listed as a mod there.

His name was kept on the list because it looked too sparse with just one name there. But now that we have filled additional positions, I will remove his name.

The third new mod being added to the rosters is 90x Double side who is our new mod in G&T. We had 3 mods in there already, but they all were pretty pressed for time because of school and work concerns, so I thought it prudent to add a 4th.

On a related note, it would probably be worthwhile making the "Almost Admins" group a moderator of each of the forums.

Just so people know that they are able to mod as well as the local mod group.

Well, there is an almost admins hidden group which is moderator of all the forums.

That is how they are able to do what they do.

However, I don't want the extra group cluttering up the screen by being listed. I assume it should be obvious that since they are "Almost Admins" they have the run of the site.

Perhaps it would be more obvious if I came up with a different name, instead of "Almost Admins", however, I didn't want to call it the "Admins group" because I want it to still be clear that I am your best contact for strictly administrative concerns.

The thing is, most people don't look at the group control panel, that's why I suggested having it listed beside the forums as the chat-mods etc. are.

i look at the mod list for the specific forum when i am looking for a mod to PM about a problem. failing that, i go to one of the other mod lists if it is a big deal (goatse, nekked man whores, etc.). i would personally like a list somewhere that says "these guys are mods, suck it" or something to that effect. even if it was just in the RULES area.

Well, I always thought you were an okay guy but talk like that vexes me considerably. If you were helping out just to become a mod, get bent. Ramius is under no obligation to make you a mod just for being a nice chap, and pissing and/or moaning about it is going to do nothing except erode the considerable respect you've managed to accumulate. In addition, sentence fragment. Also beards.

I don't understand why so many people desperately want to be mods. They have to put up with a lot of BS and it's obviously extremely time consuming. I think our current list of Mods do a good job that I don't think i'd want at a place like PA.

I am interested in being a mod because I want the experience. I am looking for experience in anything computer at this point, and PA would be a good starting point for me.
