Any Nintendo Friendly Podcasts?

I'm currently a DS & Wii only gamer (along with WoW and Atari 2600) and I spend about 2 hours each day commuting. I've enjoyed Podcasts for video games, however the one common theme seems to be that traditional "there's nothing on the Wii that interests me" and then moving onto Little Big Planet or Dead Space or whatever.

While I enjoy news on all companies, I would love to find a podcast that actually plays and enjoys Nintendo systems beyond the occasion big DS RPG or huge 1st party title. I've listened to Sarcastic Gamer and stopped simply because they seem like assholes and constantly were talking like they were above the Wii, I currently listen to Savygamer (although the sound quality often is bad enough to make it unlistenable in my car), Cheapassgamer Foreplay and Cheapassgamer's regular podcast. I probably like Foreplay the best, but it still is full of the sentiment that the Wii isn't for the podcaster.

Are there any out there I should know about that are updated regularly that might lean more towards my systems? I don't want to pull "OMG biased towards system xxx" but the majority of ones that get recommended to me are very lean at best on Nintendo coverage.

I don't know of any wii friendly podcasts specifically, but the 1up.com Retronauts podcast will give brief (5-10 min) run downs of virtual console releases. They'll also talk about the numerous remakes that end up on DS sometimes. I know it's not quite what you're looking for, but it's a fun podcast all around for driving and does cover a tiny bit of what you want.

Well, there's always platform specific podcasts, but unfortunately, the only nintendo one I can think of off the top of my head is the IGN one, which I wouldn't suggest listening to. Does gonintendo have one?

1up Yours has always had people that are pretty friendly towards Nintendo systems. I mean it's not specifically Nintendo of course, and there's not an enormous amount of conversation on them, but they do seem friendly toward the system for the most part.

And just as an aside, while I've never actually listened to the podcast, I do find it kind of funny that someone is surprised and offended by a podcast called Sarcastic Gamer isn't one that is particulary jolly and open.

I listen to the Infendo Radio podcast whenever I get a chance.
It's all Nintendo and pretty entertaining.

    dot dot freaking dot.

Outside of podcasts which are specifically targeted towards those people who think nintendo are too 'kiddy', 1up yours is one the the least wii-friendly podcasts I've listened too. The last wii game I remember them praising was what, SMG?

I mean, even half the PC focused podcasts I listen to have more positive nintendo talk than 1up yours

Gonintendo pretty much masturbates to Nintendo, at least a few years back when I was following it regularly. That woman though, can't remember her name, made my ears bleed on occasion. Rest are peachy, if you ignore that they've probably been drinking. The only sane one seems to be Kevin. He's a rad dude.

Go Nintendo has a podcast. I've never listened to it, but they seem pretty enthusastic in their writing..

Thanks for the input - I'll try the Go Nintendo one and maybe 1up yours. And yes, I know I should expect sarcasm from Sarcastic Gamer but they really come across as elistic douchebags, the final straw was their cast from Quakecon where they spent the entire time drunkly bragging up how they were visited by Fatality. I love sarcasm and angry rants, but they're so in love with themselves and their opinions that it's just not tolerable to me.

The Wiire is a pretty good Wii-specific podcast. There's a little bit of bitching, mostly from one guy, but not too much.

Really? About the only person that ever really ragged on it was Shane (big surprise). I mean a lot of the positive talk tended to come from Shawn Elliot when he was on the show, but even Garnet tends to have positive things to say when it comes up. I'm not saying they harp on Nintendo a lot, but I would definitely say that when it comes up, with the exception of one guy, they've always tended to give Nintendo platforms a really fair shake, and they certainly aren't biased against it.

I dunno if I'd call them biased but there's little love for the Nintendo on 1up yours. I'd want say it's because they haven't released anything big lately (that hasn't been multiplatform or Wii Music... which John ragged on in the latest podcast) but meh.

And I expect to get hate from this, but the Wii's console domination and casual-game focus makes for pretty boring discussions (at least NEW discussions, not rehashes of same ol' topics like "can 3rd parties sell on wii!?!??!"). It just doesn't have the fanboy hatred/drama that PS3/360 has which makes the podcast worth listening too.
