Help me with logarithms quick

Can someone explain to me these equations (not just solve, explain):

9^x=2e^(x^2)

(e^x)-(e^-x)=1

(10^2x)+3(10^x)-10=0

These are a few of the equations from my College Algebra class that I've been having a really hard time with, and sorry if this seems like I'm trying to get you to do my homework, but I really, really need help. The last equation has been giving me a huge headache...I'm trying to apply log10 to the equation which I think is either supposed to give me 2x+3x=1 (which doesn't work) or 2x + x + log10of3=1 (but that doesn't work either). Anyway, much appreciated.
