Fun stuff to send in the [snail] Mail?

My sister is stationed over seas (war zone). I like to send her normal snail mail to keep her spirits and moral up, but running out of ideas. What are some good things from the internet that transfer well to a black/white print out?

I've sent her things like print outs from rick roll, etc. Internet memes are nice, but running out. Also some things don't transfer well to black/white print outs.

Ideas? Anything funny or awesome will be sent

nothing sexist or racist please.

thanks.

edit: to clarify. Nothing political or inappropriate please.
I also send her TONS of food, so thanks - but already have that part covered :)

Sending her a postcard with this text on the back would be a terrible, terrible idea.

What's wrong with, you know, actual letters? Internet humour is iffy at the best of times, I can't imagine it transitioning particularly well to printed format. But a personal letter is always new and interesting.

Are you looking for just printable material? I have it on good authority that home baked cookies are great for morale.

You might print out web-comics that you find amusing. PBF translates to print fairly well.
HumorMeOnline or other online humor websites might be cool to print some lists off.

I already send her lots letters. I like to include other funny stuff with them.

    > I have it on good authority that home baked cookies are great for morale.

I already send he food. I just send her about $120 worth of food and going to send her (and her whole unit) a ton of party mix. My mom&grandma just send her a big batch of cookies.

Well, since it wasn't obviously, let me also say nothing political either.

Also there is probably TONS of stuff that I shouldn't send.
Please let's not turn this into a "Don't send this [disgusting link]" type of thread. Thanks.

We gather every magazine we can get our hands on and pack a flat rate USPS box with them. You can send about 12 pounds of mags for $9. We gather all kinds, but mostly car/motorcycle/gaming(even catalogues) and then everyone gets to share.

You can get little butterflies that you wind up and place in cards so that when they're opened they fly up out of the card.
Always good to scare the shit out of someone you love heh.

We get them from freinds, and we never save our subscribed ones(This is not a bad reason to subscribe to a magazine you are interested in, subscriptions are usually 75% less than newsstannd price). You might even try a bookstore, at one time they only had to send back the just the covers of unsued mags for credit, so you might be able to talk them into giving you the rest of the magazine if you explain what you want them for.

tv shows and movies burned on DVD... and a portable DVD player if she doesn't have easy access to one... a couple of people on other forums i frequent do that on a regular basis, and the discs are a huge hit with the entire base/camp or whatever... people are so starved for entertainment that it's like christmas when a new batch of tv shows comes in

they also sneak in porn (on unlabeled DVDs)... but that's more for guys :D

also decent portable consoles (something like a used DS, or PSP) with some games are huge hits as well

I did this with one of the forumers stuck in Camp Bucca for awhile. He really appreciated it, and apparently, every time I sent a package, everyone at the base was, like, "Quid's friend sent another package! To the boob tube!"

In the UK you can get them in good card shops, I don't know about elsewhere. But I think you can buy them off this website as well:

As said recipient of TV shows, the stuff Than sent was one of the most anticipated things by everyone in my shack. I'd highly recommend this route.

This is still true, but what you're suggesting is illegal.
