There is CURLING on the DS. It's called "Curling DS" (The sport, not the hairstyle)
Excuse me, I believe curling hair was recognized as an Olympic sport. The topic title offends me, and I will be discussing my options with a lawyer if it remains unchanged.
Maybe there are some things I'm glad we didn't do in Trauma Center. :P
So, anyone lucky enough to find more info? I checked out the websites of Toys R Us, Future Shop, Walmart, and Zellers, and they don't have it listed at all.

I'm fairly sure curling hair is more of a sport than Canadian curling.
I am deeply offended by the insinuations in this thread about the implication that curling may not be a globally recognized sporting event. I am currently writing a letter to my m.p. in parliment who will get right on to this issue and raise awareness of curling so that it is recognized fully by lesser countries.

Lesser countries than Canada?

I work at a Zellers and saw that game today. I had pretty much the same reaction as you.

Curling is awesome and those dismissing it out of hand are dumb and stupid and probably poor or something.
I had an eighth grade science trip in which we went curling because we were studying friction at the time. Best field trip ever.
Or just not Canadian.
No man, even in Canada you don't see anyone under 70 curling. If you wander into a curling rink by accident there's more dentures and walkers than if you'd wandered into a mall at 11 am on a Monday. It's some serious night of the living dead shit

Sad but true.
<- Used to curl
This game looks fun though. It definitely needs mic support though. As if my family didn't want to disown me already. "SWEEP HARD HARD HARD woah WOOOAHHHH"

So you've actually curled by "accident" before?
You slipped, fell and swept a bunch of ice?
I'm on to you!
This just made me think of an awesome sport. Urban curling! One of you is the pushy guy and one is the brushy guy. See, you wait for a really icy day, and hide in the bushes, waiting for someone to walk down the street. Then you jump out and curl the fuck out of them.
Curling is fun, but it's really fucking hard. The reason why so many old people play it is because it's damn near impossible to get the proper throwing weight down without hours and hours of experience. Also, sweeping the shit out of ice like that is damn tough. When I played high school basketball, I got winded trying to sweep for an entire game of curling.
I do remember there was a curling event in one of the older Olympic games. Nagano I think. Might have been for the original Playstation?
I was on the Rutgers club team here in NJ back in college. We went to the college national championship in Wisconsin. Curling might just be an excuse for people to drink because after every match the winner buys the losers a beer.

And I'm not going to buy a game based on zero information

There's multiplayer mode. I and all my DS-wielding friends need to get this. I have always wanted to learn curling.
And then the throwy guy can hell "HAAAAAAAAAAARD" into the microphone for added effectiveness.

Guess which one I would purchase.
Although I thought the OP was talking about some kind of freaky hardware problem when I saw the thread title.
Never expected this, so....title change!
So we're still not sure, aside from the Japanese boxart of potentially the same game?

The latter.
Handlebar mustaches are overpowered.
everyone always forgets the HURRY HAAAARD cheat code.
And why isn't there a proctology game yet?
SUCCESSFUL PROBE! NICE WIN!

Its inhabitants live underground, forever engaged in vicious bloodsport.
